Staff and Customer Favorites

As well as the wineries for which Wine Country is the "official" tasting room and in addition to the current wine tasting lineup, there are several wines that are consistent favorites with both the staff and our customers.

Produced by the classic Champagne Method from 100% free run juice, this is perhaps the best sparkling wine from France outside of Champagne itself. $21

Chuck Carlson makes very small amounts of Pinot Noir - this one is reknowned for its true Pinot character, with great tannins and structure

Domaine Dujac, Clos Saint-Denis, Grand Cru, 2005
We must be in good company - Robert Parker, in The Wine Advocate, gave this Burgundy 95 points - the highest scoring wine in his report on the area.
$500

Verdad Tempranillo Santa Ynez Valley, 2005
Actually a blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Syrah, the wine has ripe cherry and berry aromas with layers of black cherry, cocoa and spicy-smoky flavors with a touch of cinnamon and toast. A full-bodied wine with rich flavors and good balance and a long satisfying finish.
