Our current tasting list includes the following:

Lucien Albrecht Cremant D'Alsace Brut Rosé, NV
100% Pinot Noir, made in the traditional methode champenoise from the Alsace region on the French-German border. A salmon pink sparkling wine with lots of bubbles; aromas that hint of strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants with a superb balance in the mouth.
$24

Waltzing Bear Wines, "Dreaming in the Moonlight" Viognier, 2006, Paso Robles
A new wine and a new label design from Brad. This Rhône inspired white has an elegant crisp finish with subtle hints of orange blossom and honey suckle. Easily the best white we have seen from the 2006 vintage.
$19

Taz Chardonnay, 2006, Santa Barbara County
A classic Santa Barbara Count Chardonnay: viscosity and clean acidity make a more complex wine, with citrus, pear and pineapple notes on the nose, supported by a little creaminess from partial malolactic fermentation. A balanced, refreshing wine.
$23

J. Wilkes Pinot Noir, Hillside Block, Bien Nacido Vineyard, 2005 Santa Maria Valley
Not your typical big fruit california pinot - more like a great burgundy. A deep sensuous complexity with a wonderful spicey, herbal bouquet.
$40

Tolosa Syrah, Edna Ranch, 2004, Edna Valley
The color is a deep garnet-hued red, so dense that it borders on black. Initial aromatic notes are of herb de Provence, especially lavender, with candied almond, cassis and spice also contributing. The deeper layers of scent reveal white pepper, oak resin and cocoa. The palate is of medium structure with even, balanced tannins. Chocolate and toffee notes complete the flavors introduced by the bouquet.
$20

Kaena Hapa, 2005, Santa Ynez Valley
Blend of 65% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 15% Mourvedre: Aromas of ripe berries and meat, some sweet and sour sauce and tobacco. Rich bodied and a little sweet/fruit up front, with intense dark cherry middle and a lingering tannin and meaty spice finish.
$33

C3 Tempranillo, 2006, Santa Barbara County
Dave Corey (from Core) and his two sisters Melanie and Sherri combine to present a Tempranillo from the Santa Barbara Higland vineyard.
